Edit Prescription

Clinical users can edit prescription information from the Patient Detail window.

Note: The ability to edit prescriptions is restricted to authorized Clinical Users. Refer to the User Roles section for additional information.

Warning: Prescription changes should only be made on the order of a licensed physician. Creating or changing a prescription should only be completed by a trained medical professional. A patient’s prescription should be verified as correct before transferring it to the patient's therapy device.

Note: If the prescription update functionality is not available in Care Orchestrator, the provider can manually enter the prescription settings in the therapy device using the instructions for use for the device.

Note: All updated prescription information can be viewed in the Patient Activity Log.

Note: Be sure to clear the memory of any previously used therapy devices, modems, or SD cards, prior to reassigning them to other patients. Consult the documentation included with the therapy device or modem for instructions on clearing its memory. Refer to Clearing Removable Media to use the Data Card Utilities to clear therapy data and prescription information from an SD card.

Note: Humidifiers are optional accessories. Humidifier settings sent to a therapy device are ignored if a humidifier is not available.
