You must have Administrator rights to perform this task.

This help topic describes functionality that may not be part of the feature set in use at your company.

 

Reassign Patient Care Team Members

The Reassign Patients feature allows Administrators to transfer patients between care team members.
 

To reassign patients:

  1. Click Administration, then Users. Click the Reassign Care Team button .

The Care Team Reassignment  window displays with a blue line under the From option.

  1. Search for, then select the care team member(s)  to bulk transfer patients from and click Next.

Note:  If the external search capabilities are enabled, two options will be displayed above the Search field:  Internal and External.  To search externally, click the External option before clicking in the Search icon.

Note:  The Search field can be filtered by either Physicians name or NPI number or Location name or address, with the Physicians option selected by default. To filter by locations, click the Locations option.

The Care Team Reassignment window updates to display Reassign to and the blue line is now under the To option.

  1. Search and select the care team member(s) to transfer patients to and click Next.

  2. Confirm your selections and click Reassign. Patients from selected care team member(s) are reassigned to new care team member(s).

Note: This action cannot be undone. In the event of a failure, the action will need customer service intervention to complete.

Note:  Reassigned patients between care team members are shown in the administrative Activity Log. Click Administration and the Activity Log tab to view reassigned patients. The bulk care team reassignment is also displayed in the Patient's Activity Log, which can be accessed from within a selected patient's tab.

Note:  The Care Team Reassignment in Progress window indicates the reassignment is in process.  The bulk reassignment progress can be checked in the administrative Activity Log.  From the Activity Log, the bulk reassignment may also be cancelled. When a cancellation is successful, a green status indicator will display across the top of the Activity Log page.
